Lessons From The Digital Man Cave – 8

28 November 2010

This week’s final tip/lesson/observation comes from my personal philosophy on life. I’ve got ideas on life, love, health, wealth, work, recreation, and observation. I can’t sum up all of my philosophy in one statement (I wish I could) but I can say this: it’s never as bad as it seems, because life keeps moving forward.

To quote a favorite movie of mine “It can’t rain all the time.”

It’s important to remember that during the ups and downs on the path towards accomplishment. Sometimes it’s sunny and breezy; sometimes it’s dark and stormy. But it can’t rain all the time. And if you pay attention, you can usually find more sunny days than dark.

Call me an optimist I guess.

Stay tuned for wednesdays posting from the digital man cave.

Lessons From The Digital Man Cave – 7

27 November 2010

Tonight’s lesson is appropriate for the hour actually. It’s late, and we’re going to talk about your To-Do list . At some point you have to put the list down. Today’s lesson from the digital man cave is about something I struggle with all the time. But since my little week of truth speaking is almost over, I might as well talk about something scary. Plus it’s Thanksgiving so I’ll be brief!

That picture over there  is meant to illustrate a point about life. Self-expression. You have to express yourself. For the sake of giving the world something it hasn’t seen before, and for your own sense of being.

Lessons From The Digital Man Cave – 4

24 November 2010

Today’s lesson from the digital man cave is just a reminder about your use of social media.

Some do it right and some do it wrong, but however you do it just remember: Social media is for socializing!

Lessons From The Digital Man Cave – 3

23 November 2010

Today’s second lesson from the digital man cave is more interpersonal than action oriented. I recently read/skimmed an article about Bill Clinton and his internationally known and respected reality distortion field. That’s the official name. I like to refer to it as having your “swag on overload”. If you aren’t familiar with Clinton, it’s a trait that he shares with the likes of Steve Jobs.

Yes, you know what I’m talking about. You see a keynote presentation and suddenly you’re the biggest Apple fanboy this side of the Mississippi. I know. I’ve been there too.
