Setbacks That Accomplish Goals
I think there’s a general consensus when it comes to goal achievement and competitions in general that setbacks are bad. Losing is bad. Delays are bad. And above all else you never, ever stop.
This is how I generally operate. In almost everything that I do, I take this approach. It’s the mindset of champions. They give just a little more than the next guy, to have just a little more than the next guy. Any long distance runner will tell you that you aren’t trying to outrun the guy next to you, you’re trying to outrun the voice in your head telling you to stop.
I get it. Sage advice.
Advice that I’d be wrong to follow with blind faith.
