The Man

Who’s words have you been reading?
If you’re reading this right now then something I said has intrigued you. Or you are very very bored. That’s okay too. Normally I say I don’t know how to describe myself but in truth I never wanted to spend the time doing it. Now I realize, if this blog is going to stay here, how could I not spend the time?

——————————–

I am a renaissance man who got lost somewhere along his path. I cook, I write, I read, I paint, I draw, I build, I strive to improve myself. Time is short and I want to see just how much life I have in me. It’s weird calling myself a renaissance man because I’m that “20 something” who sees the rest of his life stretching before him and sometimes has no idea what to do with it.

And so I write. I think. I read. I figure out ways to improve my surroundings. I throw myself into challenges to find my limits and then try to expand them. I try to surround myself with people who’ve done what I want to do, or understand where I’m going even when I don’t.

What’s the point of this website?
I feel like this modern society is being drained of two things. Thoughtful expression, and common sense. And we’re almost completely missing places for positive discussions of men by men, that don’t devolve into misogyny. It’s become popular to call these “spaces” where men congregate “man caves”. Well this is mine. This is my man cave. I don’t have one in the physical world but there’s nothing stopping me from creating one in a place with unlimited potential.

If someone was wondering, mysogyny has no real place here much like it has no real place in the world.Just honest thought and expression, in whatever form it takes. I write what comes to me, and I try to keep it coherent.

I can’t say the site has singular purpose other than me trying to provide something mildly entertaining (my life), while I provide something useful (my thoughts and words).

If you get the urge, you can contact me below. I usually respond within 24 hours.
